Watlow is a company focused on engineering challenges and product development, and they are seeking a Design Engineering Co-Op. This role offers an immersive design experience where participants will work on impactful projects in the Industrial Control Systems division, applying classroom knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

Design and development of new products or redesigns of existing products (i.e. controllers, sensors, control systems)

Conduct experiments to aid design

Investigate paths to utilize automation to reduce development time

Build prototypes and participate in prototype design reviews

Complete reliability, experimental, and validation testing and evaluate results for new or existing products

Evaluate products for functionality enhancements and/or cost improvements

Work within a cross-functional team to gain exposure to other design engineering disciplines, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or electrical engineering

Completed a minimum of two years of a bachelor's degree program in one of the above engineering majors

Good written and verbal communication

Available to work full-time in Spring 2026 - Summer OR Fall 2026 in Watlow's Winona, MN, location
