Strategic Operations Intern – Graduate - Spring 2026
The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is a public benefit corporation and the nation’s largest municipal Housing Finance Agency. The Strategic Operations Intern will work with colleagues to identify and implement solutions to issues of strategic importance to the Corporation, gaining experience in analyzing and managing complex problems.

Responsibilities
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and challenges
Conduct detailed financial statement analysis
Apply econometrics and causal inference to test hypotheses
Build data models to quantify problems and solutions
Create presentations for leadership and partner engagement
Assess and adapt tools to support new strategic goals
Support idea development, stakeholder engagement, and project management
Qualification
Required
Advanced skills in financial modeling or statistical analysis
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
4+ years of professional experience in: Real estate finance, Quantitative analysis, Economics, Equity/debt research, Financial, planning, and analysis (FP&A), Quantitative public policy analysis
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
MBA, master's degree in a quantitative discipline, or other graduate degree
8+ years of relevant professional experience
Advanced proficiency in at least one analytics framework (e.g., R, Python, Stata, SAS)
