Postdoctoral Researcher - Energy, Matter and Systems, UMKC School of Science and Engineering
The University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking a full-time postdoctoral researcher in the School of Science and Engineering. The role will focus on conducting research and algorithm development in learning-based compression and immersive media compression, while also assisting in teaching and developing research grants.

Conducting cutting edge research and algorithm development in area of learning based compression, immersive media compression, especially the point cloud and gaussian splatting based 3D content coding
Assists in teaching
Developing research grants
Publishing research results
Qualification
Required
PhD in CS, ECE, or related area
good publication record
system development experience
Preferred
Familiar with MPEG standardization research process
solid Python programming
solid Matlab programming
solid C/C++ programming
experience with deep learning tools
