Responsibilities
Process and follow through internal requisitions in a timely manner
Act as voice of customer in planner and production meetings to advocate customer’s demand
The ideal candidate would be a liaison between customers and operations
Ideal candidates would also work on system build material and production planned as needed
Follow up with vendors, buyers for purchased materials, with machine shop and production as well as Logistics for parts processed in house in order to meet customer demand
Work with Accounts Payable as well as Logistics to resolve payable issues
Have some engineering background to understand what customers need and guide customer through the process as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management or Economics
2-3 years work experiences in purchasing and/or planning in manufacturing industry
Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate to advance Excel skills with strong analytics skills
Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time
Required use of standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier, etc
Must be able to walk around the factory floor
Preferred
Experience working in a global environment
APICS CPIM or CSCP certified
