Fiscal Analyst

California State University, Los Angeles is seeking a Fiscal Analyst to provide day-to-day fiscal and administrative support for the College of Professional and Global Education. The role involves tracking budgets, verifying financial transactions, preparing reports, and assisting faculty and staff with inquiries related to financial processes.

Education

Responsibilities

Tracking and reconciling budgets, revenues, and expenditures
Verifying financial transactions for accuracy and compliance
Preparing standard financial reports using established procedures
Assisting in monitoring program budgets and revenue transfers
Ensuring that all fiscal records are properly documented and maintained in accordance with University and CSU policies
Responding to inquiries regarding employee contracts, pay status, and appointment documentation
Preparing recruitment and transaction forms
Processing time and pay records
Generating contract letters for extension faculty
Preparing separation documentation as needed
Assisting with troubleshooting issues related to the Academic Planning Database (APDB) and PeopleSoft HR entries

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience
Experience providing day-to-day administration of a program, and/or performing a variety of administrative, technical, and analytical work related to operations and procedures
Highly developed quantitative and reasoning skills
Excellent oral/written communications, listening and interpretive skills
High level of proficiency in the use of MS Office such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to effectively interact with faculty, CSU administrators and staff
Demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU
Must reside in the State of California upon date of hire

Preferred

Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and other systems such as Element451, Canvas Catalog and point of sales systems
