Responsibilities
Lead the development of high-quality, scalable Java applications
Provide clear technical direction and design guidance to the team
Review code, mentor engineers, and ensure best practices are followed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
Champion modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, modular design, and cloud-native development
Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, supporting their growth and performance
Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and performance evaluations
Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and results-driven team culture
Participate in hiring and onboarding processes to build a strong engineering team
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
Identify risks, remove blockers, and communicate progress to stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement in development processes and team productivity
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of overall technical experience
3–5 years of people management experience
Strong Java development experience
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Ability to understand requirements, develop solutions, and provide recommendations
Product and project management
Release management
Strong communication and leadership abilities
