Research Service Analyst

California State University, Los Angeles is seeking a Research Service Analyst to oversee research-related compliance under the supervision of the AVP for the Office of Research, Scholarship and Creative Activities. Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day oversight and training related to research-related compliance
Serve as the primary contact for programs such as IRB and IACUC
Prepare, update, and submit required reports to governmental agencies in compliance-related areas
Fiscal management responsibilities for ORSCA operations including budget and invoicing
Create and plan new and recurring events supporting faculty, students, and staff research-related needs

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training and related administrative work experience
Two years of full-time progressively responsible work experience providing the day-to-day administration of a program, and/or performing a variety of administrative and technical duties
Working experience in engagement events with campus-wide and/or local communities
Experience in supporting/managing funded programs
Knowledge of budget policies and procedures; program and policy research; and personnel administration
Familiarity with federal funding agency policies and procedures, including those related to the use of animals and/or human subjects in research
Excellent organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills
Exceptional verbal, written, and analytical skills and strong skills in the use of MA Office suite of programs
Demonstrated ability to work in an independent manner
Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit, and/or administrative specialty
Ability to respond promptly and appropriately to requests and questions from students, professors, and administrators
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to organize and plan work and projects, including handling multiple priorities
Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment
Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to a program or administrative specialty
Ability and interest in learning and adopting new technology/software that necessarily and/or enhance the productivity of related works
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, students, and staff within and outside the work group, and serve as a liaison for the organizational unit
Demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU
