Staff Psychologist - PTSD Clinical Team (PCT)
USAJOBS is seeking a Staff Psychologist for the PTSD Clinical Team (PCT) within the Veterans Health Administration. The role involves providing a full range of psycho-diagnostic services, therapeutic interventions, and collaborating on program monitors and outcome measurements for patients with PTSD and comorbidities.

Responsibilities
Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care
Performs evaluations for the PCT clinic and accepts other assignments as necessary
Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including; Individual, couples/family and group psychotherapy in the PCT and SUD Clinics using empirically supported approaches (e.g., Concurrent Treatment of PTSD and Substance Use Disorders Using Prolonged Exposure (COPE), PE, CPT, WET, CBT-I, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), MI/ME, etc.)
Completes all clinical charting and documentation required by the Health System, as appropriate
Serves as a consultant to other Hospital staff and trainees as assigned to assist in their formulation of the psychological characteristics and appropriate treatment expectations regarding their patients
Provides didactic training regarding approaches for assessing and treating PTSD with comorbidities (e.g., Substance Use Disorders)
Collaborates in the establishment of program monitors and outcome measurements within the PCT clinic as assigned using a data-driven quality assurance processes as directed
Assists in refining program description documents, works with staff for constant Joint Commission readiness, and leads PCT program quality assurance monitoring procedures as assigned
Assists in the development of treatment protocols for patients with PTSD and other comorbidities (e.g., Substance Use Disorders)
Serves on Mental Health Service, Hospital, VISN, and/or National VA committees or task forces as assigned
Represents psychology on decision-making committees at the Hospital as assigned
Represents the Hospital at professional/program community group/events and committees as assigned

United States Citizenship
English Language Proficiency
Have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) at the time the program was completed
Have successfully completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA at the time the program was completed and that is consistent with the assignment for which the applicant is to be employed
Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
Preferred
VA experience
Evidence based treatment for PTSD/trauma central to position (e.g. Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR, Present-Centered Therapy, Written Exposure Therapy)
