Interdisciplinary (Engineer/Architect)
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is looking to fill Interdisciplinary (Engineer/Architect) positions within the Tulsa District. These roles involve serving as a Project Engineer overseeing contract construction projects, providing leadership to teams, and ensuring compliance with contract plans and specifications.

Responsibilities
You will serve as the Project Engineer with oversight of contract construction projects of various facilities, and structures within the area of the Resident Office
You will serve as team leader to provide leadership, guidance, advice and assistance including organizing, assigning and controlling work for the team
You will ensure a thorough study and familiarity by team members of contract plans and specifications
You will interface between engineering technical disciplines for coordination of construction projects
You will investigate to analyze a variety of problems or conditions including to provide recommendations to the team
You will review Quality Assurance (QA) process and personnel to ensure compliance with inspection plans, contract provisions and statutory requirements
You will provide technical advice and assistance to contractors personnel
You will perform contract administration for construction projects
Qualification
Required
1 year of experience in an architect's office or in architectural work for each year short of graduation from a program of study in architecture
5 years of experience in professional architecture
A degree in architectural engineering or a related field
A bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in architecture or in a related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines
At least 30 semester hours in architectural design
6 semester hours in structural technology
6 semester hours in properties of materials and methods of construction
6 semester hours in environmental control systems
Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT) or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE)
A bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET
Completion of differential and integral calculus and courses in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: statics, dynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical fields and circuits, nature and properties of materials
A combination of education and experience that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering
A combination of education and experience that demonstrates a good understanding of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications
A combination of education and experience that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture
A combination of education and experience that demonstrates a good understanding of architectural principles, methods, and techniques
