SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) (TITLE 32)
USAJOBS is seeking a Supervisory Production Controller (Aircraft) for the FL 125th FW, National Guard. The role involves developing and providing guidance on maintenance policies, managing training programs, and evaluating maintenance operations to ensure compliance and readiness.

Responsibilities
Develop, interpret, and provide program guidance to the Wing regarding maintenance policies, procedures, budget, training criteria, and manpower/personnel
Interprets command aircraft assignment configuration and reporting policy and informs appropriate Wing personnel of requirements and provides sufficient follow-up to ensure compliance
Creates functional checklists, guides, and other evaluation tools for use in determining the proficiency of maintenance operations personnel in accomplishing related maintenance tasks
Develops, recommends, and reviews new or supplemental draft maintenance procedures and instructions applicable to aircraft maintenance missions
Manages the maintenance training program and implements policies to ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained to fulfill mission requirements
Evaluates the overall structure of maintenance organizations, identifying program deficiencies and areas for improvement
Prepares and presents summaries/briefings on maintenance manpower levels and any impact on readiness
Provides recommendations to accommodate shortfalls
Reviews and coordinates maintenance personnel and position change requests
Qualification
Required
Must have experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity
Must have at least 1-year equivalent to at next lower grade level; experience, education or training in computations of cost data on labor and materials, buying materials or reviewing data with respect to man-hours, machine time, materials consumed, etc
Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc
Experience in managing the function of work to be performed
Experience that includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform
Security Clearance requirements are determined by position and/or MOS/AFSC compatibility
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
