Responsibilities
Incumbent would be assigned to the Employee Occupational Health & Compensation & Pension Departments as the Chief of both areas respectively
Direct report would be to the Associate Chief of Staff for Primary Care
This position currently Supervises the Employee Occupational Health and Compensation & Pension/Environmental Health areas
Provides oversight for the PACT Act mandated environmental health and exposures clinic
Some duties for EOH include ePerformance and credentialing reviews for 2 PA's and 2 RN's
In addition to the regular duties of this position it also includes providing care to Veterans in the C&P department and the EOH department when required
Incumbent will also function as the Agency Medical Officer (AMO) and as the Medical Review Officer(MRO) who will review all employee screenings and intakes
Provide oversight for the PACT Act mandated environmental health and exposures clinic
Qualification
Required
Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
Proficiency in spoken and written English
U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy
All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959

Must pass pre-employment physical examination
Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP)
