OPERATIONAL JOINT INTERFACE CONTROL TECHNICIAN (TITLE 5)
The Department of the Air Force is seeking an Operational Joint Interface Control Technician (Title 5) to support AOC operations. This role involves applying knowledge of military, civil, and data link capabilities, assisting in personnel training, and maintaining data link architecture in a complex operational environment.

Responsibilities
Apply general knowledge and education of military, civil, and data link capabilities in support of AOC operations
Assist the CONR nco in the daily execution and personnel training of the multi-TDL operation in and around the CONUS which includes working with all U.S. and Canadian military services
Assist conducting the continued planning, re-planning and problem resolution to establish, execute, and maintain an effective long-term CONR data link architecture and OPT ASKLINK in the face of technology change, increasing amount of data link assets, and increasingly complex operational interoperability issues
Assist maintaining an understanding of the various weapon systems' data link capabilities and limiting factors with regards to protocols, bandwidth, and message implementation
Assist maintaining functional knowledge of AOC command and control (C2) equipment in the nee cell and nee equipment room
This includes operations, test and training with regards to appropriate message filters, network data load, crypto, assigned frequency, and network timing
Real time authorize and direct changes to OPTASKLINK parameters to include data load, crypto, frequency, time slots, or network timing to trouble shoot and deconflict multi-TDL operations) test and training across the area of operation
Assist in identifying the TDL current and future information exchange requirements for the various systems missions tasked by our leadership
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
LL.M
Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration
Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information
Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled
Experience using computer and automation systems
Must have at least 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level
Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions
Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations
Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures
Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations
