Responsibilities

Constructs, alters, repairs or modifies structures and trim where accuracy, spacing and fit are essential. Plans and completes project from initial layout to final assembly and installation

May be required to operate a motor vehicle to transport materials and crew members

Advanced shop mathematics to plan and compute exact features such as arcs, tangents and circles. Ability to set-up, adjust and adapt hand and power tools to accomplish necessary tasks

Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment used including sharpening blades and tools

Work is assigned orally or through work orders. Determines materials, methods and tools to be used. Final product is checked to ensure compliance with accepted trade standards

Requires considerable standing, stooping and bending as well as extensive overhead arm movement. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds
