Green & Gold - Security Administrative Specialist

Responsibilities
Acts as a liaison between the SAA, Member Offices, and U.S. Capitol Police (USCP)
Serves as an advocate for Member offices
Educates Members and Congressional staff on relevant SAA and House policies related to security resources and programs
Process, record and audit invoices in accordance with SAA requirements
Coordinates routine administrative tasks such as scheduling, meeting logistics, and travel arrangements
Closely coordinate with vendors to ensure efficient delivery of security services, quick and accurate payments, and de-conflict issues
Facilitate service calls and order fulfillment for Member and/or District Offices
Assists with onboarding of new staff, leave tracking, and maintenance of filing systems
Coordinates access requests for services and communicate with USCP as needed
Assist with facilitation of Congressionally sponsored events
Generate and edit reports and presentations
Gather, track, and enter program data to maintain accurate database information related to SAA programs
Submits and tracks office service requests (e.g., IT, maintenance, furniture)
Provides general front desk and phone coverage, greets visitors, and supports division guests
Assists with handling telephones and voicemails
Maintains office supplies and performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a Veteran, Gold Star family member, or Active-Duty spouse
Honorably discharged
Released from active duty within the last six years
Pay grades at or below E-5/O-3/W-2
Veterans promoted to the pay grades of E-6/O-4/W-3 WITHIN 6-MONTHS OF SEPARATION from active duty may be eligible if they meet ALL other requirements
Veterans who are in receipt of a 20-year or Temporary Early Retirement Authority (TERA) retirement are not eligible for the program
A surviving spouse, child/step-child, parent/step-parent, or sibling/step-sibling of a veteran who died in the line of duty while serving in the Armed Forces or from a service-connected disability
Must be the spouse of an Active-Duty service member
Active-Duty service members work for the military full-time and are subject to permanent change of station or permanent change of assignment orders upon completion of each tour of duty
Those subject to Title X mobilization are not eligible
Candidates should be committed to improving the efficiency of the Federal government, passionate about the ideals of our American republic, and committed to upholding the rule of law and the United States Constitution
Preferred
Associate degree or equivalent experience, preferred
Customer service experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
