Responsibilities
Represent the Department in interagency councils, technical standards bodies, and international forums, serving as a Treasury authority on AI and computer engineering
Establish and promulgate government-wide technical standards, engineering policies, and architectures for the ethical, secure, and trustworthy use of AI and emerging technologies
Formulate and direct enterprise-wide engineering strategies for AI-enabled systems, computer hardware/software integration, and cloud-native architectures, ensuring compliance with federal mandates and Executive Orders
Qualification
Required
Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
All newly appointed employees to the federal service are subject to a probationary period if hired under a competitive service appointment, or a trial period if hired under an excepted service appointment
Must successfully complete a background investigation
Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required
All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws

Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET
Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering
Specialized experience for the GS-15: One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service
Specialized experience for the GS-14: One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service
Specialized experience for the GS-13: One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service
Specialized experience for the GS-12: One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service
