SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (Title 32)
The USAJOBS is seeking a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for the Connecticut Air National Guard. This role involves directing and managing subordinate functional areas, providing supervision and guidance, and ensuring the accomplishment of deployment and distribution functions essential to daily operations and readiness missions.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the centralized command and control, planning, and execution of all wing deployment operations and the distribution of cargo and passengers
Exercises direct supervision over subordinate personnel
Recommends and participates in the selection of functional supervisors/employees
Advises the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander on flight related issues
Participates in unit assessments, inspections, installation deployment plans, deployments, disaster preparedness exercises, and Unit Control Center operations required to maintain the highest state of readiness
Qualification
Required
National Guard Membership is required
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation
Must meet Compatible Military Assignment within one year from placement
Wear of the military uniform is mandatory
Direct Deposit is mandatory
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
Must possess a valid state drivers license
New supervisors and managers must serve a probationary period the first time they start a permanent supervisory or managerial position; the length of the supervisory or managerial probationary period is one year
Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field
Experience using computer and automation systems
36 months of specialized experience in identifying activities involving logistical support operations
Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan
Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan
Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions
Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices
Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed
Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel
Knowledge of the organization and functions of areas involved in providing logistical support
Skills in integrating the actions of two or more specialized support activities for the purpose of meeting program goals
Ability to monitor such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan and identify delays or problems
Skills in working with persons at various levels and backgrounds
