GROUP SUPERINTENDENT
USAJOBS is seeking a Group Superintendent for the 177 MSQ GP New Jersey National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principal advisor to the group commander for enlisted and other operational matters.

Responsibilities
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Advises the group commander on assigned program areas of responsibility
Advises, carries out, and monitors the Group Commander's organizational policies, programs, and standards applicable to the enlisted force
Develops, participates, and provides guidance in planning, publicizing, and administering ANG enlisted awards, recognition and promotion programs
Serves as the commanders representative at staff meetings and councils and when conducting tours through group areas
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have an associate degree from a nationally accredited academic institution
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
Must have Security Clearance prior to start date of appointment (attach proof of clearance type)
Military Grade: MIN - CMSgt E/9 to MAX - CMSgt/ E-9
Must attend the ANG CMSgt Orientations Course within a year
Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade
Applying principles of organization, management, and administration
Using computer and automation systems
36 months of program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions
Developing and recommending policy
Organizing and carrying out specific programs
Evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations
Supervisory, staff or technical work, applying practices and procedures
Study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies
Preparing written communications and oral presentations
