Responsibilities

Integration - Serves as a senior logistics management specialist, fulfilling the pivotal role in seamlessly integrating logistics and associated support and services within the scope of the Supply Chain Department. Executes standardized business processes, offering recommendations for performance measures while conducting thorough analyses of the supply chain. Involves the development of recommendations based on analysis results, metrics, quality assurance/compliance assessments, refining operating practices, and enhancing reporting protocols within the facility

Operations - Analyzes the effectiveness of logistics and vendor support services. Develops ongoing strategic analyses across supply chain activities and recommends solutions for improvements. Researches and studies private industry as well as Department of Veteran Affairs best practices to develop and apply concepts that best fit and support Supply Chain requirements. Supports long range supply chain requirements and interactions, optimizing supply chain support

Training and Customer Service - Develops logistics and supply chain management training opportunities and customer supply chain systems, programs, support offerings, supplies and services to collaborative partners and customers. Participates in the development of education and training documentation. Communicates with customers and personnel on the role logistics plays in maintaining comprehensive logistics support, operational readiness and sustainability
