Ordnance Equipment Mechanic (Explosives Operator) Leader
The Joint Munitions Command is located at Tooele Army Depot and is seeking an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic (Explosives Operator) Leader. This role involves overseeing the assembly, disassembly, testing, and repair of missiles and ordnance systems, as well as managing the destruction of explosives and ammunition.

Responsibilities
Ensures that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations
Answers workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives
Performs a variety of duties including assembly/disassembly, test, replacement or repair of electrical, electronic and mechanical components of missiles and ordnance systems
Assembles components into complete all-up missiles, using special purpose test gear, hand tools and handling equipment
Inspects build-up operations and records readings, performance data, age life data and calculations on special forms
Destroys a variety of explosives, ammunition and propellants
Demonstrating a variety of procedures specific to the particular items being destroyed
Passes on to other workers instructions received from supervisor and starts work
Qualification
Required
Ability to do the work of an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic (Explosives Operator) Leader without more than normal supervision
Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading)
Ability to Lead or Supervise
Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc
Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic)
Troubleshooting
Use of Measuring Instruments
Must successfully complete training in hazardous waste management procedures within 6 months of date of appointment and will not work in unsupervised situations until training requirement is met
Subject to random drug testing IAW AR 600-85
Subject to the Lautenberg Amendment
Must be cleared IAW requirements of AR 190-11, Physical Security of Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives
Annual physical is required
Incumbent must meet the requirements of AMCR 350-4, Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations
