Responsibilities

Serves as a Division Chief, providing second-level supervision over mechanical equipment repair, preservation, and quality control activities
Plans and directs the use of personnel, equipment, and materials to meet operational goals, managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
Assigns work, sets priorities, monitors progress, and evaluates the performance of subordinate supervisors and their teams
Provides technical direction and expertise on the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide range of Army mechanical equipment and systems
Develops internal procedures, manages training, ensures compliance with EEO and safety regulations, and maintains accurate records

Required

Ability to do the work of an Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor without more than normal supervision
Ability to perform common duties of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor which include reviewing and analyzing work accomplishments of subordinate work groups ensuring they meet schedules and deadlines
Overseeing mechanical equipment repair, preservation, and quality control to anticipate and resolve issues
Supports depot level maintenance, managing depot operations and field repair teams (CONUS/OCONUS)
Works to improve equipment and facility layout
Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)
Ability To Lead or Supervise
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc
Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Trouble Shooting
Use of Measuring Instruments
Possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid U.S. driver's license
Successfully complete the Civilian Education System Course and the Supervisory Development Course within 12 months of being assigned to the position
One year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed
