Information Technology Specialist (PLCYPLN) NF-05

Responsibilities
At a Major command or regional level, applies advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices to plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments and develop new methods, approaches, and procedures
Develops and interprets policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of IT services throughout the command/region
Provides expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues
Applies planning regulations, laws, and policies to the organization's business requirements
Develops performance management plans and performance measurement methods and tools
Qualification
Required
Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate a mastery of and skill in applying IT theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods
Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate a mastery of and skill in applying IT policy and planning concepts and practices
Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate a mastery of and skill in applying interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines
Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate a mastery of and skill in applying methods, approaches, and practices for managing communities of interest involved in development and implementation of IT architectures, investment planning, e-government, and other IT related legislative and policy initiatives
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
A one-year probationary period may be required
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2 to include a Tier 3 background investigation
Position sensitivity II; must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Benefits
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized.
Relocation incentive in the amount of $10,000 may be authorized with a two-year agreement.
