Production Controller (SHIPS)
USAJOBS is seeking a Production Controller (SHIPS) to serve in the Execution Division of the Operations Department at PSNS and IMF. The role involves providing support with data and reports, analyzing cost and schedule data, and preparing various reports to ensure project performance issues are addressed.

Responsibilities
You will work as a member of the Project Team providing support with data and reports
You will review, analyze and monitor an availability's cost and schedule data and verify data through communication with project managers
You will prepare cost and schedule reports
You will develop reports and make recommendations for correction of specific performance issues
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

This is a bargaining unit position
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying production control methods and procedures to analyze production project data and processes (e.g., schedule, cost) and prepare reports of findings for ship or submarine repair or overhaul projects
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying production control methods and procedures to observe and analyze production operations and resources (e.g., labor, equipment/machines, materials) and determine the causes of production delays and the effectiveness of cost controls for ship or submarine repair or overhaul projects
