Surgical Specialty Outpatient Clinic Manager
The VA Providence Healthcare System is seeking a Surgical Specialty Outpatient Clinic Manager to oversee the daily operations of the outpatient clinic. Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the outpatient clinic
Manage a team of nurses (RN, LPN), technicians and AMSAs. Including development of work schedules, completing performance reviews, recruitments, and fostering a positive work environment that supports staff professional development
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and operational efficiency
Monitor patient safety and infection control practices
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care services
Makes sustained contributions to healthcare by actively participating in healthcare facility or service-level committees or councils, establishing active relationships and demonstrating leadership in improving care beyond the immediate practice setting
Demonstrates expertise in managing resources that contribute to efficient, cost-effective care and, sharing knowledge beyond the immediate practice setting
Excels in making appropriate judgements. Demonstrates integrity in the workplace and facilitates formal and informal mentoring opportunities to develop current and future leaders beyond the immediate practice setting
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy

Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP)
Must have English Language Proficiency
Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency
Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
Preferred
Previous experience in a nursing leadership role such as charge nurse, team leader, or nurse manager
Experience managing a team of healthcare professionals, including scheduling, performance management, and conflict resolution
Experience with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred
