4+ years expMasTec Civil is a heavy highway contractor specializing in complex transportation projects. They are seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards during construction.
Construction
Responsibilities
Ensure that construction crews comply with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies
Review Project Contracts, Plans and Specifications in their entirety
Prepare Project Schedule and monthly updates
Prepare quantity reporting, project costs cash flow projections and forecasting
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and workforce to resolve project challenges, conflicts, and/or technical issues
Prepare and submit Prime and Subcontractor Change Orders
Manage document control to include submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, etc
Prepare and maintain technical submittal list, NPDES permits, Storm, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, and Project Progress Schedule as required
Comply with notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, etc
Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plan and/or specifications affects products or services
Assist with project closeout
Preform additional assignments per the Project Manager's direction
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Construction Engineering and Management
4 or more years' experience in the civil construction field (office/field role)
