Senior Intern Program Developer
Independence Community College (ICC) seeks a Senior Intern Program Developer to lead the design and implementation of internship opportunities for students in STEM and interdisciplinary fields. Responsibilities
Lead the design, coordination, and implementation of internship opportunities for students across STEM and interdisciplinary fields
Cultivate and maintain partnerships with regional employers, community organizations, and industry leaders to expand student placement opportunities
Provide individualized career coaching, resume development, and interview preparation for students
Monitor internship placements to ensure quality experiences and alignment with grant objectives
Track, analyze, and report internship outcomes and metrics in compliance with NSF reporting guidelines
Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and student support services to integrate career readiness into academic pathways
Develop resources and host workshops on professional skills, workplace expectations, and employer engagement
Design, implement, and manage internship opportunities that align with NSF EPIIC objectives
Establish guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure quality, equitable, and inclusive experiences for students
Collaborate with faculty to integrate experiential learning into academic programs
Build and maintain strong partnerships with local, regional, and national employers to expand internship pipelines
Coordinate employer outreach, recruitment efforts, and site visits
Serve as a primary liaison between employers, students, and the college
Provide one-on-one coaching to students on career readiness skills, résumé building, interviewing, and workplace professionalism
Match students with appropriate internship opportunities and monitor progress throughout their placements
Develop workshops and resources to prepare students for career success
Track, document, and evaluate internship placements, student participation, and employer engagement in accordance with NSF reporting requirements
Assist with data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all institutional, state, and federal guidelines tied to grant funding
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, career services, or related field
Experience in program coordination, student support services, workforce development, or employer relations
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including students, employers, faculty, and community partners
Commitment to equity, access, and inclusive practices in career readiness
Preferred
Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, workforce development, or related discipline
Experience working with federal or NSF grant-funded programs
Knowledge of best practices in internship coordination and experiential learning
Familiarity with data tracking systems and grant reporting
