Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and execute multiple cloud migration work streams simultaneously
Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Analyze dependencies between work streams and identify and mitigate potential risks
Oversee and coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, architects, data engineers, and other stakeholders
Monitor progress against plans and make adjustments as needed; ensure timely completion of project deliverables within budget constraints
Manage communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and senior management
Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards
Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges that may arise during migration
Collaborate with cloud architects to design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions
Stay current on the latest cloud technologies and trends
Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within the cloud migration process
Proactively identify and address challenges and roadblocks
Analyze project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements to enhance future migrations
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in the IT field
5+ years of experience with cloud migration projects
Experience in migrating legacy applications to the cloud
Experience with data migration and analytics technologies
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience running agile ceremonies (user story grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, story point estimation, etc) or serving as a scrum master
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex technical projects
Strong technical knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
Excellent program management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
PMP certification (highly desired)
Cloud certifications (GCP, AWS)
