Internship - Quantum Error Correction Research

QuEra Computing, Inc. is building powerful neutral-atom quantum computers and seeks a Quantum Error Correction (QEC) Research Intern to contribute to the development of scalable quantum error correction schemes. The intern will work with experts to design, simulate, and analyze error correction strategies, gaining hands-on experience in quantum technology.

Responsibilities

Help design, simulate, and analyze error correction strategies for neutral-atom quantum computing platform
Development of novel logical gate schemes with low overhead
Improved decoding methods
Implementation of QEC protocols on state-of-the-art quantum hardware

Qualification

Required

Solid background in quantum computing and quantum error correction
Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for cross-disciplinary collaboration

Preferred

Currently enrolled in or have completed a Ph.D. program in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong programming skills and experience with numerical simulation tools (e.g., Stim, decoders, or other custom code)
Familiarity with experimental or hardware-informed QEC implementations
