Reliability Engineer II – Fixed Equipment

Responsibilities

Review fixed equipment inspection reports and recommendations for equipment repair and/or replacement
Ensure inspections are done timely and that the inspection intervals are optimized
Review inspection frequencies of pressure safety valves to ensure they are adequate and track compliance
Evaluate fixed equipment fitness for continued service
Perform equipment failure analysis (i.e. root cause analysis) to determined and correct equipment problems to prevent reoccurrence
Follow equipment repair in shops to ensure timely and proper repair
Work with other engineers to develop and improve maintenance procedures for equipment inspection and repair
Actively participate in process improvement programs such as Six Sigma, etc
Participate in the PACE culture of safety and demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance/reliability work in the petrochemical industry
Experience with stationary equipment is required
Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
Excellent organizational and communication skills, and problem-solving ability
Self-motivated, able to work independently and as a team player

Preferred

PE, CMRP, API 510, API 570, API 653 certifications a plus
Knowledge of NDE, shop processes, ASME/API code, corrosion and metallurgy preferred
Familiar with OSHA's process safety management standard regarding mechanical integrity
Working knowledge of a CMMS program and an Inspection Data Management System (IDMS)
