Responsibilities
Plans and conduct small to medium size projects with design specialty requiring conventional types of plans, investigations and equipment
Coordinates and monitors design activities and reports progress to upper management
Leads design discussions for planning purposes
Gain knowledge of overall industry & AbbVie specifications / standards
Gain knowledge of various building components such as HVAC equipment, electrical distribution systems, building materials, etc
Create project estimates for front end planning and budget purposes
Present to the staff leaders, managers and mentors the achievements of the assigned projects as well as the main experiences gained during the program
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a BA/BS in architecture or mechanical, electrical, BMS controls engineering
Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027
Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal skills
Preferred
Experience with AutoCAD or a form of design software
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and extra-curricular achievements
