UTILITIES CUSTOMER SERVICE REP
CITY OF WAYNESBORO is seeking a Utility Customer Service Representative for their Public Works Department. This role involves assisting utility customers with inquiries about their accounts and performing field operations related to water meter management.

Responsibilities
Performing basic professional and administrative work in an office setting
Assisting with field operations as needed
Serving as an initial point of contact for utility customers who have questions regarding accounts for water, sewer, and refuse collection
Installing, troubleshooting, and reading water meters
Working with customers on leak adjustments and other issues
Servicing/cleaning meter boxes
Typing accurately and at a reasonable rate of speed
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with fellow City team members, utility customers, and the general public
Following oral and written instructions
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Knowledgeable of standard office practices, procedures, and equipment
Proficient in writing, communication and basic arithmetic
Ability to type accurately and at a reasonable rate of speed
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow City team members, utility customers, and the general public
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with customer billing
