Tactical Data Link (TDL) Analyst
Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tactical Data Link (TDL) Analyst to support the ACCA5JI JINTACCS mission at the Langley, VA customer office. In this role, you will be instrumental in the research, engineering, and development of proposed changes to TDL Military Standards based on U.S. Air Force tactical combat system information exchange requirements, ensuring continued interoperability while minimizing impact to existing systems.

Responsibilities
Research, engineer, and propose updates to TDL MIL-STDs based on USAF tactical combat system IERs
Develop and evaluate bit-level implementation specifications and advise software developers and testers on TDL integration
Submit change proposals in accordance with Joint Multi-Tactical Data Link Configuration Control Board (JMTCCB) Terms of Reference (TOR)
Review new drafts of MIL-STDs to identify and correct incorporation errors, ensuring accurate bit-level formatting and notations
Draft Technical Information Design Plan-Test Edition (TIDP-TE) documents to establish baselines for new TDL capabilities
Represent USAF TDL objectives at AFSIB, Joint, Bilateral, and Allied TDL meetings and working groups
Analyze change proposals from other entities for potential impact on USAF systems and joint/allied interoperability, providing written evaluations
Assess interoperability test trouble reports to determine affected systems and the criticality of each deficiency
Participate in USAF Technical Analysis Groups and Joint Analysis Review Panels
Coordinate with USAF requirements and program offices to provide TDL expertise for integration into USAF platforms and systems
Participate in reviews and the development of operational concepts and architectures that utilize existing and emerging TDL capabilities
Review Information Support Plans (ISPs) to verify correct MIL-STD references
Research, gather information, and draft technical papers, staff studies, or presentation materials as directed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) and 2 or more years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Strong analytical skills to interpret and extract information from highly complex technical documents
Experience in one of the following USAF disciplines: A rated Air Battle Manager with experience on AWACS, JSTARS, or CRC; Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO); Two or more years of experience managing JINTACCS TDL standards
Current or Active DoD Secret security clearance
