Responsibilities
Lead the team and the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects in Mission Critical and commercial sectors
Effectively develop and manage project designs for high performance building systems for air and hydronic distribution, central heating and cooling plants and building management
Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications and construction documents for high performance building systems
Supervise and effectively manage technical development throughout all phases of design assuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and good engineering practice
Understand Revit to allow leadership and direction for the design teams
Attend field visits, develop visit reports, meet with contractors as necessary
Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with clients and other team members
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Professional Engineering license required
Minimum 12+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high performance buildings. Subject matter expert in specialized fields highly preferred
Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects, working in dynamic team environments
Fluency in software for design, documentation, coordination, MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and cloud tools
Working knowledge of Revit / BIM is required
Preferred
Professional commitment to sustainability is highly preferred, LEED accreditation a bonus
