Responsibilities

Create and review system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools, such as Capital Harness or NX

Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost

Lead a small team of electrical design engineers to implement electronic subsystems by breaking down requirements and work packages, providing drawing status, and budget estimates to platform leads

Train and mentor junior engineers

Learn and become familiar with L3Harris Technical Process Specifications and related design practices and methodologies

Required

Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree at an accredited university

Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience with a Master's degree or 4+ years of applicable experience with a Bachelor degree

Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Strong communication skills

Able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which require U.S. Citizenship

Interpret SOW, requirements and Systems Definition

Must be able to travel to and from flight line and work in aircraft hangar environments (some positions will require the ability to board/exit aircraft)

Willingness to travel or relocate, if necessary
