Responsibilities

Data Quality Oversight: Review and validate auto-generated and self-identified data quality issues to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency within the issue management workflow tool
Governance & Reporting: Maintain governance dashboards, track remediation progress, and ensure all metrics and reports are up to date for executive and working group reviews
Issue Remediation Support: Collaborate with SMEs and business/technology partners to analyze root causes, assess downstream impacts, and drive timely remediation of high-severity data issues
Change Management: Validate content accuracy for data change requests and perform data sanity checks across submissions
Process & Documentation: Prepare PowerPoint decks for data governance forums, record meeting minutes and action items, and manage team documentation across SharePoint, Confluence, and shared drives
Tool Enhancement & Testing: Support business requirement gathering and UAT for enhancements to the issue management workflow tool
Training & Enablement: Conduct user training sessions on issue management processes and tools to promote data quality awareness and compliance

Required

3–5 years of experience in data governance, issue management, or data quality analysis within a regulated or enterprise environment
Strong understanding of critical data elements, data quality rules, and dimensions
Hands-on experience with data profiling, issue tracking, and remediation workflows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to assess data anomalies and recommend solutions
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and one or more BI reporting or ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow)
Basic SQL querying knowledge and familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, IDQ/CDQ)
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Exposure to AI tools and automation concepts within data governance
Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry
Working knowledge of Collibra, SharePoint, and ServiceNow for data governance reporting and documentation
