Responsibilities

Design Development: Create and assess concept drawings (P&ID’s, equipment specifications) for equipment using multidisciplinary input
Technical Documentation: Review designs, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of the project/estimate. Perform equipment and pipe sizing calculations
Problem Solving: Identify, define, and resolve issues within assigned scope
Travel: Occasional travel required (less than 10%)

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or nuclear engineering from an accredited four-year university
3-5+ years in design engineering
Proficient in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes
Skilled in engineering design principles (pump calculations, pipe sizing calculations, basic equipment specification)
Familiar with creating P&ID, PFD, and general arrangement drawings
Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
