Corporate Communications Intern
GitHub is the global home for developers, providing an AI-powered platform for secure software development. They are seeking a proactive Corporate Communications Intern to assist in raising awareness of their products and services through effective communication strategies and materials.

Responsibilities
Help identify storytelling opportunities that support GitHub’s company goals and reach our target audiences
Assist in the development of content and collateral materials, including prep docs for spokespeople
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for speaking events, community engagement, and more
Track and evaluate press coverage to measure impact and assist with monthly reporting
Contribute to project management and cadence of communications projects, programs, events, and/or editorial calendar
Participate in internal meetings and meetings with external partners like our agencies/vendors
Qualification
Required
Currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies or related field, with an expected conferral date between December 2026 and August 2027
Experience writing effective communications materials for medium-to-large audiences (newsletters, news articles, press releases, etc.)
Track record of executing on creative ideas, with a 'ship to learn' mindset
Preferred
Previous Communications internship experience preferred
Interest in news and media
General understanding of GitHub and/or the software development space. (Coding skills not required!)
Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn from our experienced and awesome global communications team, while contributing to some big programs and embracing the Hubber experience
Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and learn from experiences during the internship
