Responsibilities

Program Leadership: Oversee the development, testing, and integration of propulsion systems for high-profile national aerospace or defense missions
Project Planning: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure project stability throughout its lifecycle
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, government agencies, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with mission objectives
Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on propulsion system design, performance, and compliance with national and international standards
Earned Value Management (EVM): Utilize EVM techniques to monitor project performance and ensure alignment with cost, schedule, and scope objectives
Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve mission success
Ability to obtain a US Secret Security clearance
Ability to travel as needed

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Ability to obtain a US Secret Security clearance
Ability to travel as needed

Preferred

A background in propulsion systems and aerospace engineering is preferred
Proficiency in Earned Value Management and risk assessment methodologies
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
PMP certification or Project Management certificate
Experience with government or national aerospace programs is highly desirable
