Responsibilities

Ground Data System (GDS) Development
Integration with backend data systems
Integration with other subsystems’ data architectures
Collaborate with testbed teams to refine models and tools
Work with systems team to understand requirements and interfaces
Work with mission operations working groups
Mission tool development
Mapping, Rover pose determination, localization
Image processing & identification
Rover path planning with rough mathematical models, power analysis, thermal predictions, system performance trending, etc
Coordinate with hardware and software teams to refine tools

Required

5-6 years of relevant experience in mission / GDS design & development
Proficient in developing in C++
Experience in defining and negotiating requirements with key stakeholders
Experience in running validation and verification activities
Adept with Git version control system
Background in ground systems software and mission planning
Demonstrated knowledge and application of best practices for design of spaceflight systems
Proficient in applying testing frameworks and conducting unit tests. Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and continuous integration practices

Preferred

Experience with navigation visualization tools
Skilled in Python scripting
Firsthand experience on development of spaceflight missions
Firsthand experience with spaceflight mission operations
Experience in designing system validation tests
