Start in 2026 SpringYMCA of the North Shore is seeking an Inclusion Support Intern for Spring 2026 to gain hands-on experience in education and child development. The role involves supporting individualized inclusion and behavior plans, participating in program activities, and promoting social-emotional development among children.

Responsibilities
Support the implementation of individualized inclusion and behavior plans designed to meet each child’s unique needs
Participate in daily program activities, help monitor behaviors, and practice observational documentation
Model positive behavior and learn strategies to promote social-emotional development
Assist staff in adapting curriculum and routines to ensure all children are included and engaged
Build relationships with youth, families, and mentors while contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment
Qualification
Required
At least 1–2 years of experience working directly with youth, promoting inclusion, and supporting social-emotional development
Availability to work at least three days Monday–Friday from 1:30pm–6:00pm
Must provide and keep current all required documents and certifications under the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)
Completion of all required trainings, certifications, and program orientation in accordance with EEC and YMCA of the North Shore policies
