7+ years expPattern is a fast-growing company specializing in ecommerce acceleration through proprietary technology and AI. They are seeking a VP of Data and Architecture to lead their data strategy, drive insights from complex datasets, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute the data strategy to drive business objectives, managing incoming data requests and assigning them to team members according to individual’s ability
Lead a team of data experts to act as business consultants and collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions
Design data models for both analytics and custom applications
Provide easy to consume data directly to partners through Snowflake
Administer Pattern’s cloud data warehouse, Tableau, and ETL pipeline, maintaining it architecturally, overseeing its performance and users, and managing associated costs
Lead and mentor a team of 30-40 business intelligence engineers, data engineers, and domain analysts
Oversee the design and implementation of analytics solutions to solve complex business problems
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in data analytics and intelligence
Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures
Make proposals and suggestions on how to solve data problems and present insights and recommendations to executive leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university
Expert experience with SQL
Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools, and the ability to tell stories and answer questions using these tools
7+ years of leadership experience, managing a team of at least 10 people
7+ years of experience in data engineering and modeling
Ability to act as a business consultant and get to the root of what needs to be solved
Ability to communicate with stakeholders and understand the proper priority of tasks
Proven experience in leading data analytics teams and implementing data-driven strategies
Preferred
Experience using Python and Snowflake
Experience with data governance and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
