Welltower, the world’s largest real estate company by market capitalization, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, coordinate workpapers, and communicate with third-party service providers regarding tax matters.

Responsibilities

Prepare tax workpapers in support of income tax return compliance
Respond to taxing authority notices and inquiries
Responsible for partnership and joint venture tax reporting, capital account maintenance, and compliance
Prepare estimated tax payments, computation of taxes due, and reporting
Prepare other corporate and state tax returns as needed
Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualification

Tax accounting experienceCPA certificationReal estate industry experienceBachelor’s degree in AccountingCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
1–3 years of tax accounting experience in a CPA firm or corporate tax department preferred
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and verification of employment, education, and other credentials relevant to the position

Preferred

CPA certification preferred
Real estate industry experience preferred
