Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is a leading pediatric hospital that provides exceptional care for children. The Polysomnography Tech I is responsible for performing routine sleep testing procedures under supervision, including patient preparation, monitoring, and documentation during studies, while also supporting department operations.

Responsibilities
Performs routine sleep testing procedures under supervision of a registered technologist in accordance with hospital clinical care policies and procedures
Provides patient preparation, monitoring, and documentation during studies
Supports department operations through the setup, calibration, and maintenance of sleep lab equipment and supplies
Follows applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
Current BLS required
Completion of an accredited Polysomnography education program required
or Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
or Allied Health Credential as outlined in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM)
or Certified Polysomnography Technician Credential
Preferred
6 months to 1 year of polysomnography or related patient care experience
Experience in a pediatrics, healthcare or sleep laboratory environment preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) preferred
Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred
