Responsibilities
Lead and manage environmental site assessments and remediation projects in accordance with Chapter 62-780, FAC and FDEP PRP guidelines
Prepare and review technical documents including Site Assessment Reports, Remedial Action Plans, Natural Attenuation Plans, Source Removal Plans, and Site Rehabilitation Completion Reports
Oversee drilling operations, soil borings, and installation of groundwater monitoring wells
Conduct and interpret soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling; ensure compliance with FDEP standards
Supervise junior staff and subcontractors during field activities
Develop and implement health and safety plans for field operations
Maintain strong communication with clients, regulators, and internal teams
Qualification
Required
Professional Geologist (PG) license in Florida (required)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience in petroleum site assessment and remediation projects
Proficiency in FDEP PRP processes and risk-based corrective action strategies
Strong technical writing and reporting skills
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (with annual refreshers)
Preferred
Experience authoring regulatory documents for site closure using risk-based criteria
Familiarity with permitting processes and institutional controls
Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff
