Responsibilities

Implementing safety procedures and standard operating procedures

Coordinating training required for operation and maintenance personnel

Preparing a variety of reports, including an annual budget, water quality reports, reporting required by the NC Department of Environmental Quality, etc

Maintaining records related to the water treatment facilities

Qualification

Water Treatment ExperienceGrade A Surface Water OperatorGrade I Physical/Chemical OperatorBachelor’s Degree in EngineeringSoutheast Desalting Association CertificationLeadership SkillsCommunication SkillsInterpersonal Skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, biology, or chemistry or an associate degree in engineering technology, water treatment technology, water resources, or related field

Six (6) to nine (9) years of experience in water treatment

Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver License

Possession of a North Carolina Grade A Surface Water Plant Operator certificate

Possession of a Grade I Physical/Chemical Operator certificate
