Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of highly technical proposal submissions to the annual Sony Research Award Program
Negotiating and overseeing implementation of university agreements/contracts
Interfacing with U.S. university professors and staff to discuss IP matters, publications and sponsored research
Educating, advising and managing intellectual property
Negotiating intellectual property related terms in sponsored research agreements, license agreements, and confidentiality/nondisclosure agreements
Interfacing with legal counsel, IP counsel, risk management, and export control departments to ensure company is protected with liability, representation, and other legal provisions
Utilizing CLM/innovation management software and defining CLM best practices
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent
Three (3) years of experience negotiating and overseeing implementation of university agreements/contracts
Experience interfacing with U.S. university professors and staff to discuss IP matters, publications and sponsored research
Experience educating, advising and managing intellectual property
Experience negotiating intellectual property related terms in sponsored research agreements, license agreements, and confidentiality/nondisclosure agreements
Experience interfacing with legal counsel, IP counsel, risk management, and export control departments to ensure company is protected with liability, representation, and other legal provisions
Experience utilizing CLM/innovation management software and defining CLM best practices
In the alternative, a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience
