Recruitment Intern

Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath) is a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives by helping families move out of poverty. They are seeking a Recruitment Intern to support their People & Culture team, focusing on recruitment, HR administration, and special HR projects while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit HR operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with posting job openings on various job boards and EMPath’s career site
Review applications, screen resumes, and help coordinate interviews
Support candidate communication, including scheduling and follow-up correspondence
Participate in maintaining recruitment databases and tracking candidate progress
Assist in maintaining employee and applicant records with confidentiality and accuracy
Support new hire onboarding activities, including preparation of materials and orientation logistics
Help with documentation, filing, and organization of digital HR records
Collaborate with the People & Culture team on ongoing HR initiatives and process improvement projects
Conduct research and assist with data analysis on topics such as recruitment trends, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion
Support internal communications related to HR programs and initiatives

Qualification

Required

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with HR or applicant tracking systems a plus but not required
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Interest in human resources, recruitment, and nonprofit operations
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Collaborative and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
