Director of Strategy & Growth

The Director of Strategy & Growth is responsible for defining and executing long-term strategic initiatives to drive revenue and market expansion across the Americas, while ensuring operational alignment and effective resource allocation.

Responsibilities
Define and drive a clear long-term strategy to expand revenue, market share, and competitive position in the Americas
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize growth opportunities through rigorous market, customer, and competitive analysis
Develop and execute business plans that support sustainable, profitable growth
Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and capital allocation
Lead detailed performance evaluations and gap analyses across sales, service, parts, automation, and related functions
Support the Heller post-merger integration on the Americas side, ensuring alignment of strategy, structure, and execution
Evaluate and recommend optimal sales, service, and operations structures to support growth and efficiency
Assess current and future needs of the Americas market and align organizational capabilities accordingly
Evaluate and define the types of machines manufactured at each plant to optimize capacity, cost, and responsiveness
Identify alternative factory utilization strategies, including stock machine modifications, turnkey solutions, and flexible production models
Lead or support commercialization strategies for new facilities and capabilities, including the spindle repair facility and future large-scale initiatives (e.g., additive manufacturing, Swiss-type machining)
Help develop and implement a hybrid (builder/direct) business model to support long-term growth objectives
Define formats, agreements, and structural approaches for key accounts and direct customers
Determine strategies to strengthen dealer management and channel performance
Support the development and expansion of the DN Defense/Federal business unit
Develop and execute strategies to ensure service excellence and a differentiated customer experience
Drive alignment of processes across DN Solutions Americas to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability
Promote continuous improvement initiatives and lead or support CI activities across functions
Act as a liaison to global headquarters for strategic projects and initiatives, providing data, insights, and regional needs
Work closely with sales, service, operations, parts, automation, marketing, and other departments to improve overall performance
Partner with leaders to assess team capabilities, identify needs, and support the development of strategies, structures, and talent
Serve as a strategic resource for marketing and other departments, bridging gaps between global direction and Americas market needs (e.g., approving marketing materials and supporting regional go-to-market strategies)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of experience in strategy, business development, operations, or general management within manufacturing, industrial equipment, or capital machinery environments
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives and complex, multi-site projects
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy
Proven ability to work effectively with global teams and senior leadership
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience with post-merger integration, dealer networks, and hybrid business models preferred
