Engineering Technician (Cleanroom Support - Level Depends on Experience)
FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc. is a recognized leader in the manufacturing and design of durable and productive drop-on-demand inkjet printheads. The Engineering Technician will perform routine experiments and diversified technical duties in fabrication, testing, and documentation while supporting engineering activities related to electro-mechanical systems and experimental design circuitry.

Responsibilities
Monitors procedures and reports discrepancies to identify problems
Drafts test procedures or process/product documents and interprets test data on standard jobs
Discusses technical problems encountered with supervisor or engineering personnel and initiates corrective action with appropriate support personnel
Assists in determining method or action to remedy malfunctions
Assists in the construction, test and check out of test equipment
Communicates data, reports and procedures within group
Participates in training and may certify specific training procedures for new employees and cross-train existing employees
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for deviation from accepted practices
Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments
Works from formal and informal written/verbal instructions, specifications, technical manuals and engineering sketches
Uses and maintains a variety of test equipment
Works closely with engineers and senior technicians
Compiles, records and reports test results
Qualification
Required
High School or equivalent years of experience and 1-2 years of related experience
Solid working knowledge of the use of Excel, Word and Outlook computer programs
Knowledge of basic wiring, mechanical workings, chemistry and/or electronics
Desire to maintain very high standards of process control
Excellent attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability and desire to contribute both independently and as part of a team
Ability to flex within the work schedule daily to meet the needs of the department
Ability to follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
Ability to read and understand formal and informal oral and written instructions, technical procedures and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisor, management and peers
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Preferred
Two years of technical schooling beyond high school
Experience with experimental design
Ability to troubleshoot failures in product and processes
Knowledge of statistics
