Responsibilities

Design of horizontal and vertical alignments for rail tracks

Design of drainage systems to support rail projects

Develop plan set suitable for construction

Perform a variety of routine tasks, which provide familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company

Receive regular training to learn the design of freight rail projects

Potential for field construction management and inspection activities

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Railroad civil designMicrostation / InroadsConstruction experienceStructural designRelationship builderCommunication skills

Required

Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience

3+ Years of Railroad civil design experience

Construction experience is a plus

Structural design a plus

Microstation / Inroads proficient

Strong communication skills

Strong relationship builder
