BEPC Inc. is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support our client’s aerospace manufacturing division in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and improving manufacturing processes for precision optical systems and components, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

Provide test and manufacturing support for components within the ring laser gyro product line
Analyze current process controls for optical components and develop improved methods for measuring and controlling manufacturing processes
Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to guide standard work practices
Investigate and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions
Develop improvements in product design and manufacturing/assembly processes to reduce cost and cycle time
Support new product development and the transition of designs into production
Maintain and optimize test equipment and preventive maintenance plans to ensure factory efficiency
Foster a self-driven workforce culture focused on yield, quality, cost, and delivery targets (RTY, BIQ, COPQ, SQDIC)
Conduct product and software testing as needed

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Optics, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited institution
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a relevant technical or manufacturing engineering field

Preferred

Experience with optical systems, components, and modeling
Hands-on experience in optical metrology and optical process controls
Background in glass machining, polishing, deposition, or coating processes
Knowledge of cleanroom operations and contamination control
Familiarity with product yield management and improvement methods
Experience in regulated manufacturing industries (e.g., aerospace, medical, automotive)
Demonstrated Lean/Six Sigma problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities across multidisciplinary teams
Proven initiative, ownership, and accountability in technical problem-solving
